Effertz is a specialist for thermally insulated fire rolling doors with fabric curtains, also known as “fire curtains” for short. Here again, we were pioneers and in 2013 we were the first manufacturer to receive a general building authority approval from the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt) for our thermally insulated fire curtain.

Our fire curtains require particularly little installation space, run very quietly and have also successfully completed a durability function test over 10,000 to 200,000 cycles – depending on the product family. There should therefore be no doubt about their durability and reliability. In old buildings in particular, their low weight is another advantage, as the fabrics used are much lighter than steel. In terms of fire protection, they achieve the same performance classes as steel doors.

In 2025 we were once again honored for our newest product line, the Fibreflam LT family. This time with the FeuerTrutz Award “product of the year”!

Effertz fire curtains of the Fibreflam-family offer many advantages in addition to the proven fire protection up to 120 minutes:

• Low weight, as the door leaf is an isolating textile fabric
• Low space requirement due to small shaft and winding diameters – they can be installed almost invisibly above suspended ceilings
• The Fibreflam LT always comes with a casing; this is optional for the Fibreflam-Iso-family
• Easy-to-use control unit with numerous functions and a touch display
• Fire protection functions are maintained even in the event of a power failure thanks to the integrated battery supply
• High level of safety thanks to safety features such as certified fall protection. Members of the Fibreflam-Iso-family offer an additional safety layer with a safety contact bar
• Extreme durability of the Fibreflam-Iso-family (they passed a continuous test with 200,000 opening cycles)
• The Fibreflam Iso rolling doors can be used for higher installation positions (e.g. on counter tops)
